Plot Outline:
HOWARD HESSEMAN, WALLACE SHAWN GUEST-STAR -- The autopsy of a schoolboy killed in a traffic accident leads Jordan (Jill Hennessy) to discover that the pre-teen actually died while being kidnapped along with his female classmate. Despite resistance from Evelyn (guest star Lois Nettleton), Max (Ken Howard) helps Jordan search for the missing girl by contacting some of his old cronies, such as a retired detective (guest star Howard Hesseman, "Head of the Class"). Meanwhile, Trey (Mahershalalhashbaz Ali) and Bug (Ravi Kapoor) engage in a battle of wits to impress a sexy anthropologist (guest star Neta Golding). Garrett (Miguel Ferrer) comes to terms with his feelings for Lily (guest star Kathryn Hahn). Wallace Shawn ("My Dinner with Andre," "Toy Story") guest-stars as a state psychologist. TV-14
