Plot Outline:
Malcolm is determined to lose his nerdy Krelboyne label and become popular now that he's in high school. Unknown to Malcolm, his parents are volunteering on the first day of school—Lois is handing out textbooks while Hal is on garbage detail. When Malcolm goes to pick up his books, Lois embarrasses him and volunteers a nickname for his classmates to use. An anguished Malcolm devises a plan to aggravate his parents. Just as he's about to execute his stunt, his girlfriend Cynthia publicly mortifies him.
